2018 INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION & FIREWORKS
FIREWORKS ARE ON!!! (6/28/2018 Update) – The Fireworks are on for tonight, June 28th! Since the ground may still be damp, we encourage you to bring chairs to sit on. Remember to leave your pets at home. Thanks and we look forward to seeing you there!
There will be lots of fun for the whole family on the front lawn of Montgomery High School on June 28th! Starting at 6 pm, there will be plenty of games and activities for children, food vendors selling everything from hotdogs, hamburgers, grilled chicken and pizza to delicious deserts like cheesecake, ice cream and the ever-popular kettle corn and funnel cakes. Get there early to get a great picnic spot under the stars! Feel free to bring a blanket or chairs and enjoy the sounds of The John Oakes Band playing hits from today and yesterday at 7:00 pm up on the stage. After the singing of the Star Spangled Banner at dusk (approx. 9:15 pm), get ready for a spectacular display of patriotic fireworks, sure to bring out the kid in everyone!
The event will be held at Montgomery High School, 1014 Rt. 601, Skillman. There will be free parking available at Skillman Park and continuous shuttle buses running from the Upper Middle School beginning at 6 PM. (Note: handicapped parking spots will be reserved at the high school and will be available at no charge).
Event Day Reminders: Bring your chairs, alcohol is prohibited and all pets must remain at home.
This event is once again funded by contributions from corporations, small business leaders, residents, plus vendors fees and parking passes, making this a true community event.
